What is Homey Rentals?
Homey Rentals is a rental service that provides short‑term access to appliances and household essentials. We cater to hotel guests, short‑term renters, and locals who need temporary items delivered to their location. Our goal is to make your stay as comfortable as your home.
Which locations do you deliver to?
We deliver throughout New York City. During checkout, you’ll be asked to enter your delivery address.
Do I need a hotel reservation to place an order?
If you're staying at a hotel: Yes — you'll need to provide your reservation details so we can coordinate delivery with the front desk.
If you're staying at an Airbnb, vacation rental, or your own home: No reservation is needed.

How are rental items cleaned and sanitized between rentals?
At Homey Rentals, we prioritize cleanliness and hygiene for all our rental items. After each stay, every item undergoes a multi-step cleaning and sanitization process. Read more by visiting our Cleaning Process section.

Ordering and Payment

How do I place an order?

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards.
Is there a delivery fee?
Delivery is free for orders over $100. Orders below this amount have a standard $20 delivery fee.
Can I modify or cancel my order?
Orders can be modified or canceled up to 24 hours before the scheduled delivery date. Cancellations within 24 hours are not guaranteed. Please contact us at support@renthomey.com and we’ll do our best.
Do I need to pay a security deposit?
No, we don’t require a traditional deposit. However, we place a temporary hold on your card for the retail value of all rental products. This is not a charge and is released within 7 days of return if everything is in good condition.

Delivery & Pickup

When will my order be delivered?
  • Hotels: Delivered to the front desk on your check‑in date (between 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
  • Non-hotels: Delivered at your selected time during checkout.
Do I need to be present to receive my order?
  • Hotels: No. Delivery is made to the reception. Please confirm that your hotel accepts packages.
  • Non-hotels: Yes. Someone must be present to receive the order in person.
What happens if my delivery cannot be completed?
  • Hotels: If a hotel refuses the delivery and we cannot reach you, the items will be returned and a $20 delivery fee will apply.
  • Non-hotels: If no one is present and we can’t reach you, delivery will be marked failed. A $20 delivery fee will still be charged.

Rental Returns & Charges

How do I return my rental items?
  • Hotels: Place your rental items in the Homey bag and leave them with the front desk on check-out day.
  • Non-hotels: We’ll pick up the items at your scheduled time. Someone must be present for the hand-off.
What happens if I don’t return a rental item?
If a rental item is not returned, you will be charged the full retail value of the item in addition to your rental fee.
What if an item is damaged?
Minor damage or excessive wear may incur a cleaning or repair fee. If an item is beyond repair, you will be charged its full retail value.
What if I want to extend my rental or end it earlier?
Please contact support@renthomey.com. We’ll do our best to accommodate, but modifications within 24 hours of return are not guaranteed.
Why is there a hold on my card?
To protect against loss or damage, a temporary hold is placed for the value of certain items. This is not a charge and is released within 7 days of a successful return.

Refund Policy

Are purchased items refundable?
  • Non-refundable: Sanitary, perishable, and personal-use items.
  • Refundable: All other unopened items.
What if Homey Rentals is unable to fulfill my order?
If we cannot complete your order for any reason, a full refund will be issued.
Can I return a rental early?
Please email support@renthomey.com. We'll do our best to accommodate. Note: changes apply to the entire order, not individual items.
